Overview
The Interior Design School offers contemporary interior courses from one day to one year aimed at individuals seeking inspiration for their home, property development or career. Courses range from introduction workshops to short courses, evening classes and a full time accredited Diploma. Practical residential projects demonstrate the design process and are taught by professional designers in a stimulating studio environment.

Diploma course
This full-time course is aimed at students wishing to gain an understanding of Interior Design to change career, continue in further education or for individual property development. No previous experience is required. Emphasis is placed on understanding the design process and developing an idea from client brief to presentation. This is taught through practical studio projects that introduce you to spatial and conceptual design issues and the skills that will allow you to develop your creative, technical and analytical abilities. The course encompasses, residential and commercial interiors, creative 2D and 3D exercises, computer training and career guidance.
Evening classes
There are three evening classes – 10 week introduction, 30 week certificate and 60 week advanced certificate. There are two Saturday workshops in each 10 week term. The courses are taught by a combination of lectures and residential design projects developed in the studio. The advanced certificate is the equivalent to the first module of the three module diploma.
One-day introduction course
This is a stimulating and practical day that introduces the process of creating a design brief for an interior – whether you’re interested in designing your own home, or thinking about interior design as a career. These courses run throughout the year and the cost is refundable against any of the longer courses.
Location
The Interior Design School is in Queen’s Park, a popular area of north London. 5 minutes walk from the Bakerloo line underground station and the Silverlink overground. Lonsdale Road is a mews street with various design and media studios and the area has some lively cafes, restaurants and bars.
